Natural Facial Creams Go a Long Way
Natural Facial Creams Go a Long Way
In these times there are a lot of outstanding anti wrinkle skin care products that can be purchased. There are even more not-so-good ones. You might have guessed, that it all comes down to the components. But how can you really tell whats in that bottle?Reading the label would be the first place to start. But just looking at that lengthy listing of chemicals can make you cringe. Start with the warning label and application instructions. Most skin creams and moisturizers can result in stinging if it gets in your eyes. A simple warning on what to do if the cream gets in your eyes does not mean there is cause to be concerned. But if you read “avoid using this product around the mouth or eye area” then you should be worried. You have to wonder what would happen if it gets in your mouth somehow?. Will it poison you?In many cases, there are. Even natural compounds can be toxic. Most likely by triggering skin or eye discomfort. Essential oils are illustrations of semi-natural compounds that can cause illness if ingested. They can cause irritation if used directly on the skin. Their main purposes are in the area of aroma therapy.I mention essential oils simply because a large number of natural products for skin care include them. It has never been clear to me why they call them what they call them. They are not really essential. They are not anything like your skins naturally protecting oils. In reality, they are just concentrated plant perfumes. They are mostly water. Rosewater is an example. The essential fatty acids, found in ingredients like grapeseed oil and olive oil, are good for the health of your skin. They assist the retention of moisture. The oils include compounds like vitamin E. Vitamin E is one of the most potent anti-oxidants. Antioxidants are crucial for stopping and repairing free radical damage, a cause of skin aging. When reading the list of ingredients, natural vitamin E is commonly listed as alpha-tocopherol. Grapeseed oil is often listed as Vitis vinifera seed oil. Olive oil is sometimes listed as olivate. There are numerous other very good components to look for in natural skin care lines. A little research will stop the application of dangerous toxins on your skin.
